The Core Infrastructure team at Coinbase is vital in maintaining the foundational systems that ensure our products remain secure, scalable, and operational. We manage the compute, networking, and storage platforms powering Coinbase applications worldwide, guaranteeing that each product operates reliably, cost-effectively, and with the resilience needed in a regulated, always-on financial environment. As a Product Manager at this level, you will own the roadmap focusing on the scalability, resilience, and efficiency of Coinbase's core infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering and SRE teams to evaluate cloud platforms, enhance compute and networking systems, and design resilient services that ensure Coinbase's crypto applications consistently operate securely and globally. Key Responsibilities: Manage the product roadmap for Coinbase's core infrastructure, emphasizing scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with engineering, SRE, and infrastructure teams to design reliable compute, networking, and storage systems across various regions and cloud environments. Lead the evaluation and implementation of infrastructure technologies (compute, networking, storage, observability) to improve performance and maintain uptime during peak demand. Anticipate growth driven by product launches and traffic surges, ensuring infrastructure capacity evolves in anticipation of demand. Establish and monitor SLAs for uptime, latency, and resiliency, collaborating with engineering to consistently meet or exceed expectations. Provide reliable, secure, and compliant infrastructure services to expedite product delivery for Coinbase teams. Qualifications We Seek: The ability to transform infrastructure challenges into actionable product strategies and measurable outcomes. A proven history of scaling globally distributed systems and core services to handle large, dynamic workloads with high reliability. Strong collaboration skills with engineering, SRE, and security teams. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies, including Kubernetes, service mesh, distributed storage, networking, and observability platforms. Comfort in balancing cost, performance, scalability, and compliance needs in regulated industries. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing infrastructure for high-volume, low-latency, and continuously operating applications. ID: GPPM05US Compensation Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this role ranges from $180,370 to $212,200 USD.
