Purpose This position plays a vital role in developing and guiding Product Sales Specialists, ensuring that each customer enjoys an outstanding shopping experience through exceptional service and detailed product knowledge. Minimum Eligibility Requirements High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to fulfill job responsibilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment Essential Functions Act consistently with the company's core values Uphold safe lifting practices as per standard operating procedures Effectively teach and embody the core principles of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing Lead and mentor product sales specialists to provide attentive and accurate customer service Complete all required product specialist certification courses Possess in-depth knowledge of merchandise and installation procedures Oversee merchandising, pricing, and organization in the department Timely communicate any changes to standard operating procedures to all associates Obtain Industrial Truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification Notify management of inventory needs Guide and support the processing of merchandise for display on the showroom floor Verify product placement and pricing in the department Greet every customer in a friendly and helpful manner Assist customers with product inquiries and selections Process transactions accurately at the checkout using the point of sale (POS) system Manage customer refunds and exchanges per established guidelines Conduct 'how-to' classes for customers Adhere to established procedures for handling cash, checks, and credit cards Answer phone calls in accordance with company guidelines Restock and tag merchandise displays as needed Create price tags and signage for merchandise Working Conditions Employees may work in a warehouse environment and around moving vehicles, with noise levels typically ranging from moderate to noisy. Physical/Sensory Requirements This role requires the ability to exert pressures ranging from 30 to 60 pounds occasionally, and 20-30 pounds frequently, as well as moving objects with greater than negligible force. Employees will often need to use their hands and fingers and will frequently stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
