Job Responsibilities Conduct evaluations on patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at fulfilling both immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate closely with members of the healthcare team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to ensure a unified approach to care. Provide education to patients and families to promote progress outside of clinical settings. Assist with sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the treatment journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay updated with advancements in the profession through continuous education and interactions with peers. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment methods for all demographics, with a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Superior interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to adjust therapy methodologies to cater to diverse linguistic and cultural needs.
