Position Type: Substitute/Substitute Bus Driver Date Posted: 3/4/2025 Location: Cooperstown Central School Job description Overview We are seeking dedicated and responsible Substitutes bus drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a school bus and transport school children on an assigned bus route. Duties Operates a school bus on a regular schedule or on special occasions; Performs proper pre- and post-trip inspections before and after each run; Directs children on safety practices when entering and leaving bus; Maintains orderly conduct of children on bus; Keeps interior and exterior of vehicle clean and neat; Experience Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two year college with an Associate's Degree in construction technology or related field and (2) two years of experience in building maintenance or in one or more of the mechanical or construction trades; OR Graduation from high school or a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years experience as described in (a) above; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined in (a) and (b) above. Formal trade training and/or certifications is preferred.
