Android Engineer - Software Developer / Engineer

We Are Looking For Candidates With, Mandatory Skills: Android, REST, Google Cloud Messaging API, Kotlin (Coding evaluation), Application Monitoring, Mocking Tools, CI, Programming and Coding Required Experience: At least 3 years of native Android development experience. 6 years total experience Extremely comfortable with understanding and implementing internet application with REST services at the backend Strong Experience with Kotlin is must Super awesome with Android concepts like fragments, location services, Google Cloud Messaging API, UI transitions, Image processing and multi-threaded communications, among others Familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins), application monitoring (Crashlytics and fabric.io), mocking tools (Appium and Apiary), build tool development and enhancements, using unit testing and cucumber tests for functional tests Extremely comfortable with understanding and implementing client-side handlers for web services with REST services at the backend Knowledge in Android Studio and GitHub is a huge plus Experience with Cucumber testing framework desired B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired Responsibilities: Assist in design and development of Android application Influencing peers, juniors and seniors both within the organization and across the company Native Android app development and converting ideas, designs and requirements to concrete stable production builds Coordinate and collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to understand problems, come up with creative solutions, and help with tracking and delivering within the release plan Understand and implement Android specific design patterns Collaborate with Engineering and QA to resolve bugs Attributes Passionate, intelligent, critical thinker, problem solver, highly persuasive Proactive communicator, documents clearly and succinctly Detail-oriented, thoughtful, respectful - a team player Required experience Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering) Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering) preferred Experience and Skills That Are Nice to Have Scrum/Agile methodology working group experience Experience with distributed computing, from design, implementation and supporting in production Experience with Device-as-a-service systems Experience with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database technologies Experience with software engineering best practices, design patterns and anti-patterns Experience in working on end to end CI/CD pipeline What You Can Expect Next Steps: Competitive candidates may be invited to participate in the interview process.
