Plant Controller

Phillips Tube Group is looking for a hands-on, growth-minded Plant Controller to join our leadership team in Middletown, OH. This is a high-impact role supporting three plants (Middletown, Shelby, and Indiana), with direct visibility to the CFO and CEO. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA-ready strongly preferred; company will pay for CPA) 5-10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with cost accounting exposure Strong Excel skills (required) Curiosity, eagerness to learn operations, and a desire to "go see the plant" to understand the numbers Leadership qualities: mentoring, collaboration, communication Someone who thrives in a small-company culture with big-company growth Must be willing to work 100% on-site in Middletown, OH What You'll Do Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis for all plants Prepare and analyze plant financial statements and month-end reports Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Own key balance sheet accounts and perform reconciliations and journal entries Partner closely with the Shelby Plant Controller and plant operations teams Support the CFO with consolidated reporting and financial insights Drive process improvement and digital finance transformation Oversee a clerk and provide mentorship across plant teams Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls What Success Looks Like Financial statements delivered to the CEO within 7 business days AR past-due percentages maintained below target levels Streamlined, consistent processes across all three plants Faster, more accurate inventory reporting Strong cross-plant relationships and collaboration
