IT Hardware Asset Management Specialist

Job DescriptionDefine, deploy, and manage all phases of the enterprise hardware IT asset management (ITAM) process. Manage agreements and relationships with vendors as well as ensure the enterprise is equipped with appropriate hardware to fit the needs of associates.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain IT hardware asset inventory Build and maintain automated IT asset inventory capabilities Manage agreement for leased hardware assets Ensure sufficient stock of IT hardware to fulfill requests Develop and implement asset management processes and procedures for enterprise Identify, define, and deploy best practices for enterprise ITAM Coordinate lifecycle, procurement, maintenance and decommissioning of IT assets Coordinate warranties and service agreements Define standards and ensure guidelines and controls are maintained Preform audits and regular inventory reviews Develop and implement device shipping and receiving processes and standards Deploy and manage ITAM toolset Build and maintain relationship with selected hardware vendors Develop and maintain PC imaging process Generate IT hardware asset reports to assist management in forecasting hardware needs Work with other departments to ensure project hardware needs are met The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. RequirementsMinimum Requirements:Education and Experience Associates degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical field or project management preferred 3+ years of experience in IT asset management Experience with multi-location coordination of technical resources Experience managing leased assets ServiceNow ITAM module experience a plus Certifications/Licenses – ITAM, CITAM, CHAMP industry certifications preferred ITIL Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Expert understanding of ITAM standards Excellent problem-solving ability Excellent customer service skills Able to consider and support both strategic and practical implications for proposed course of action Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills) Able to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals (organizational skills) Able to present a positive, energetic, and patient mentoring style Skill in leadership and coaching Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
