Onsite -, Portland, OR, 97202, USThe Application Analyst - POS Operations resources will support the pilot and rollout of a newly implemented Point of Sale (POS) system for company, across retail stores. This is a hands-on technical role supporting a large-scale store rollout. The team is lean, and they need an analyst who can independently triage, investigate logs, and resolve issues in a new POS environment with limited documentation. This role is higher level than a traditional support center position and requires strong troubleshooting capabilities across application, hardware, and store-level operations.The Application Analyst - POS Operations resources will support the pilot and rollout of a newly implemented Point of Sale (POS) system for company, across retail stores.ResponsibilitiesSupport pilot and phased rollout of new POS system in over 120 retail storesPerform advanced triage of POS incidents and operational issuesAnalyze system and application logs to identify root causeTroubleshoot POS software and hardware integration issuesPartner with store teams and internal support teams to resolve escalationsProvide stabilization support during rollout wavesDocument findings, recurring issues, and resolution stepsParticipate in on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 4 weeks)Qualifications3-7+ years of experience supporting retail POS systems or similar application environmentsStrong hands-on troubleshooting experience in POS or retail systemsAbility to independently triage and resolve issues without relying on extensive documentationExperience analyzing logs and performing root cause analysisExperience supporting on-premises (non-cloud) environmentsFamiliarity with POS hardware including terminals, scanners, and peripheralsWorking knowledge of Java-based applicationsComfortable operating in a fast-paced rollout environmentAbility to manage priorities in high urgency environmentsStrong collaboration skills while also being able to work independently Required SkillsExperience with Toshiba POS systems or similar retail platformsExperience supporting multi-store retail rolloutsBackground supporting specialty retail environments (e.g., jewelry or similar verticals)Prior experience working closely with operations and field support teamsPreferred SkillsExperience with Toshiba POS systems or similar retail platformsExperience supporting multi-store retail rolloutsBackground supporting specialty retail environments (e.g., jewelry or similar verticals)Prior experience working closely with operations and field support teams
