Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Responsibilities: The Sr. eRecord Application Analyst is a member of a cross-functional team where teamwork, collaboration, challenges and continuous learning are the norm. The primary responsibilities of the position include recommending, planning, evaluating and translating clinical practice, operations, policy and procedures into electronic content and workflows. The primary goals of this position center on the configuration of the system to improve operations, standardize processes, gain workflow efficiencies and improve patient care. The Analyst III has considerable latitude for independent judgment and initiative. Assignments are typically larger in scope, requiring a higher level of analytic ability and understanding of operational processes. The Analyst III assists with leading tasks, ensuring timelines are met, collaborating with management regarding process improvements, efficiencies and system innovations and providing guidance and technical and operational expertise to other Analysts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, tests, debugs and maintains Epic software applications. Collaborates with the project team, subject matter experts, training and technical teams to effect system changes that reflect an in-depth understanding of the business and end user requirements, while also considering impact to integrated components and standardization. Leads in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. Collaborates and uses critical thinking skills to identify potential problems prior to them occurring based on trends or data. Acts as a resource for team members. Identifies barriers to project completion and communicates needs with Manager and others as appropriate. Leads the review of requested enhancements while demonstrating expert application-specific skills. Prioritizes and implements requested changes to the system. Maintains system integrity. Provides solutions or leads resolution of end user system issues or conflicts for points of integration while applying a broad knowledge of application, workflow and integration. Participates in the upgrade process and ensures necessary build, testing and education is coordinated as appropriate. Mentors team members. Identifies and resolves complex issues. Promotes and participates in and/or maintains standardization of system build, including following naming and numbering conventions, security classifications, database and spreadsheets for the system build and change control. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures. Builds relationships and effectively communicates with the project team, key stakeholders and physician practices as required. Provides guidance to support end-users to enhance the use of Epic system. Mentors customers and others on the team, including precepting other eRecord staff. Works collaboratively with operational governance groups or similar customer representatives to improve the system. Represents the team at the department and customer level. Other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associates Degree in related discipline, such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required Bachelor's Degree preferred 3 years of relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience required Clinical, technical or administrative experience in a health care setting preferred 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong attention to detail required Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems, and develop critical thinking skills required Solid technical aptitude and an understanding of computer systems and IT functions. Skilled in using Microsoft software, specifically Office and SharePoint required Excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written), presentation, analytical and problem solving skills required Knowledge of URMC policies, clinical operations, and familiarity with regulations that impact clinical practice. Clinical experience specific to the Cath Lab or Cardiology is also preferred.
