Position Purpose: The Human Resources Specialist plays a critical role in managing the staffing process, from hiring and training to coaching and termination. This position will also be responsible for conducting exit interviews and handling all necessary termination paperwork. Additionally, the HR Specialist will manage the enrollment for Medical/Dental benefits and support payroll processing as needed. Working closely with supervisors, this role will help address disciplinary actions, training, and onboarding for our second shift team. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full staffing process, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding. Conduct exit interviews and process termination paperwork efficiently. Oversee Medical/Dental benefits enrollment and assist with payroll processing. Collaborate with supervisors on training and disciplinary matters. Support the head of HR in daily operations by performing various administrative tasks. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR/Organizational Behavior or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential. In-depth knowledge of HR policies, hiring practices, and best practices in human resources. At least 2 years of payroll processing experience. Strong understanding of labor legislation and employee benefit plans, including leave administration (e.g., FMLA). Key Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused with high professionalism and discretion. Strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities. A team player with sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing confidential information. Self-motivated and organized with a reliable work ethic. Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and off-shifts, as necessary. Willingness to travel as required. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Cal/OSHA regulations is a plus. This role requires the ability to fulfill essential functions consistently and safely.
