In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator.ResponsibilitiesFully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locationsCollect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specificationsDetermine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costsGather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible pricesCreate and submit estimates to project managersBudget and forecast using appropriate softwareQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related fieldCertified Professional Estimator (CPE) is preferredPrevious 3-5 years experience as an Estimator in asphalt/concrete industry is requiredAbility to forecast costs and knowledge of estimation formulasStrong mathematical and analytical skillsSkilled in relevant software (Bluebeam, StackIt, etc)Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skillsFlexible work from home options available.
