We are driven by our core values: respect, innovation, and collaboration.About the RoleThe Business Development (BD) Specialist - Global Finance is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will be responsible for playing a key role across the full marketing and business development spectrum, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the relevant practice, client mix, and matter experience. This role will be located in our New York, Washington D.C., Chicago or Houston offices. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Responsibilities & QualificationsOther key responsibilities include: Supporting the business development activities for the firm's Global Finance Department practice groups, including Banking & Private Credit, Private Equity Finance, Project Development & Finance, Restructuring & Special Situations and Structured FinanceBuilding strong relationships with BD team members and collaborating to support the lawyers in the Finance practice groupsAiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD team membersProviding research, analysis and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationshipsSupporting on directory submissions such as Chambers and Legal 500Assisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and website content, including practice profiles and relevant experience listsIdentifying and reporting on market share across sectors, transaction types, and marketsCollaborating with lawyers and BD, and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiativesSupports the execution of practice group meetings and retreatsProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We’d love to hear from you if you: Possess a high degree of discretion, independent judgment, and attention to detailDemonstrate the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectivelyDisplay exceptional oral and written communication and professional interpersonal skills And have: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience within a law firm or professional services environmentA bachelor’s degree or equivalent Benefits & Additional InformationSuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
