In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding technical excellence on challenging engineering tasks, while you gain a deep understanding of client expectations, scope, budget, and timelines. You will assist on-site during startup phases, coordinating with colleagues and discipline leads to ensure efficiency and quality. As an integral part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you will help design and enhance control systems for various processes. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and designers, contributing to innovative, world-class solutions for new industrial and commercial facilities. Key responsibilities include: Developing P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) Sizing valves and specifying instrumentation needs Documenting and modeling design information with compliance to industry standards and building codes Join a team that values creativity and expertise in producing automated control systems and optimizing processes. To be successful, ideally, you will have: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering At least 2 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control Knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other controls applications Experience specifically in Data Center environments An Engineer in Training (EIT) certification Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills A proactive attitude towards learning best practices and providing innovative ideas A passion for collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams A genuine passion for buildings and construction Jacobs is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
