Locum - Physician - General Medicine AZ Are you a dedicated General Medicine provider looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible scheduling? This unique opportunity allows you to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country on a PRN basis. Key Responsibilities: Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and health assessments Perform interviews and select physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing Complete exams within established timeframes and submit detailed reports and addendums Maintain compliance with credentialing and onboarding processes Required Skills: Medical license in good standing Background in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields Experience or familiarity with compensation and pension evaluations preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform physical assessments accurately and efficiently Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience conducting VA exams or similar assessments Certification in relevant specialties or advanced medical training Knowledge of relevant documentation systems and procedures Preferred Education & Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) Prior clinical experience in general medicine Prior experience in medico-legal or VA assessment settings Other Requirements: Must reside within specified radii of job locations or have own office in designated areas Willingness to travel locally within assigned areas Ability to work days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) as needed Availability to complete initial training and perform first exams for bonus eligibility Benefits: Hourly pay rate of $624.00 (flat rates for half-day and full-day shifts) Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Competitive referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Support from a dedicated team committed to your success throughout your engagement with VHS This is an excellent opportunity for qualified physicians eager to contribute to veteran health assessments in a flexible, rewarding role.
