Summary Pharmacy Technician Stock Clerk is a non-certified, entry-level pharmacy technician who supports Central Pharmacy Services Center (CPSC) by participating in the distribution of medications. This position will assist the department's professional staff, under direct supervision, in numerous aspects of ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution. Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Stock Clerk to join our team at our Central Pharmacy in LaGrange, KY. Fills stock orders for hospitals, community/specialty pharmacies, outpatient infusion centers and other BH affiliates in accordance with State and Federal laws. Performs station inspections for assigned areas, checks in and stocks ordered medications. Performs necessary calculations accurately. Assists the pharmacist in maintaining the security of medication. Handles controlled substances in accordance with pharmacy department policies and procedures. Completes and provides appropriate documentation as required. Restocks returned medication in a timely manner and assists pharmacy management in monitoring waste to identify areas for potential improvement/cost savings. Ensures a smooth workflow by completing all assigned tasks prior to the end of shift. Maintains familiarity with medication formulary and standard abbreviations. Assists in training new staff when assigned. Rotates stock to avoid product out dates. Performs inventory checks and informs buyer of needed medications. Performs medication cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory levels. Scans received inventory to ensure bar code compliance. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalency required. Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals) within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire. Must obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) within 1 year of hire.
