The HR Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations at GameStop. In this position, you will proactively identify compliance requirements, collaborate with a range of stakeholders, and lead initiatives to enhance compliance. Furthermore, you will develop and deliver training programs to keep management informed about compliance matters. This hands-on leadership role thrives on attention to detail, requires building an effective compliance program, and offers the chance to develop a small team through close collaboration, real-time coaching, and shared execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader skilled at managing cross-functional partnerships to drive compliance excellence. This position operates onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with multi-state labor laws across all 50 states and stay informed about regulatory changes. Develop, update, and maintain HR compliance policies, SOPs, and multi-state employee handbooks. Conduct ongoing compliance audits, analyze results, and implement corrective actions. Manage unemployment claim processes, including responses and hearings. Oversee compliance with predictable/predictive scheduling and pay laws; train leaders on requirements and avoiding penalties. Maintain and monitor federal, state, and local labor poster compliance. Review and analyze compliance-related data using Excel and HR systems. Support or manage I-9 and immigration compliance processes (experience preferred). Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations to provide guidance, mitigate risks, and improve compliance practices. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 6+ years of HR compliance, employee relations, or relevant experience. 3+ years of experience in people leadership, with a hands-on approach to developing and supporting a small team. Strong knowledge of multi-state labor laws across all states. Demonstrated experience in writing compliance policies and managing multi-state handbooks. Experience in conducting compliance audits and implementing corrective action plans. Understanding of unemployment processes, including claims management. Expertise in predictable/predictive scheduling laws and training leaders accordingly. Knowledge of labor poster compliance and jurisdictional requirements. Familiarity with UKG Pro integrations and workflows. Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs). Immigration compliance experience (I-9, audits, visa processes) is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.
