About this Position Assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care, as directed following established methods, procedures and standards. Under minimum supervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient care incorporating the following: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Required QualificationsVocational/Technical Certification as Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nursing (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Six (6) months of OB/GYN clinical experience required unless internship completed in the OSU clinic system. Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:Current Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure required in the state of OK by an accredited school of nursing/medical assisting. Current CPR certification (please attach copy) Valid Driver's License Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:Skilled delivery of patient care and procedures; medication administration, triage experience, direct patient care. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy required. Ability to learn new processes, tools and equipment as required. Excellent customer service skills Preferred QualificationsOne (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nursing in an OB-GYN clinic Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:Referral/ authorization experience preferred. Bi-lingual highly preferred Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow.
