This Project Manager role is crucial for defining, planning, and executing complex programs that require collaboration across multiple teams while managing interdependencies among various initiatives, all within defined scope, quality, time, and budget constraints. You will lead a diverse team of internal staff and contractors to deliver impactful business solutions. Essential Responsibilities Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to develop a comprehensive program strategy and create a structured roadmap to manage cross-functional projects. Lead project teams effectively, partnering with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure the successful development of detailed project plans. Engage closely with the Executive Sponsor and Business Owner to guarantee alignment of program objectives with overarching business goals. Continuously monitor, evaluate, and communicate the program’s status, actively managing scope, schedule, budget, and alignment with strategic objectives. Build and nurture strong relationships with customers; provide regular project updates to stakeholders for transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Adhere to Highmark’s project management standards and methodologies while contributing to ongoing enhancements in project management practices. Perform additional duties as assigned or requested. Education Minimum High School Diploma/GED Preferred Bachelor's degree Experience Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in project management or leadership roles Preferred Familiarity with the healthcare insurance industry and its operations Understanding of an industry-standard software development lifecycle Licenses/Certifications Required None Preferred PMP certification or equivalent training Skills Experience with customer relationship management Strong presentation skills Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities Proficient in risk mitigation planning Team building expertise Exceptional interpersonal communication skills Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities Solid organizational and planning skills Effective leadership qualities Physical, Mental Demands and Working Conditions Position Type Office-based Occasional teaching or training of others Rare travel to various work sites Physical work site required Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds is constant Occasional lifting (10 to 25 pounds) Occasional lifting (25 to 50 pounds) Disclaimer: This job description outlines the general nature of the role and essential responsibilities, but is not a comprehensive list of all tasks and qualifications required.
