POSITION OVERVIEW Fuse plastic gas pipe for gas main installation. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Fuse plastic pipe Install gas mains Locate utilities Work with Operators as spotter Configure pipe routes Align pipes in pipeline sections. Dig trenches with trenching tools Slide pipe into trenches Grade trenches Seal joints Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material Other duties as assigned Must pass Fusion Operator Qualifications annually QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Fusion experience required Must be willing to travel Class A CDL preferred Preferably some farming or construction experience Education in Fusing and/or Gas and Utilities construction preferred Experience fusing and installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred Must have a valid Driver License Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time Must be able to lift/push/pull 50+ pounds regularly
