Senior Plumbing Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and high-energy Senior Plumbing Design Engineer to enhance our Building Mechanical team, working remotely or from one of our U.S.-based offices. In the Advanced Manufacturing Group, you will play a critical role in delivering transformative and cost-effective projects across a range of industries, including specialty chemicals, electric vehicles, and heavy industrial sectors. We believe that our clients' success goes beyond just well-designed facilities; it is about creating tailored strategies for different markets. As a Senior Plumbing Design Engineer, you will collaborate with engineers and designers to conduct field investigations, liaise with clients and vendors, and provide innovative plumbing design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You'll be responsible for ensuring technical quality and adherence to schedule for challenging engineering tasks, while familiarizing yourself with client expectations, scope, budget, and timelines. Here are some highlights of your role: Design Development: Create design criteria and layout for various plumbing systems, including sanitary, process sewer, potable water, hot water, natural gas, and roof drainage. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive final design documents and specifications for plumbing systems. Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate plumbing solutions with other engineering disciplines. To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring your organizational skills, curiosity, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in plumbing system design. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant codes and standards for plumbing design. Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced team setting while managing multiple deadlines. Leadership: Experience leading a building mechanical team on projects and collaborating with other engineering disciplines remotely. Ideally, you'll also have: Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit. Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Certification: Professional Engineering certification. Specialty Experience: Experience in utility piping system design.
