Description Conduct thorough evaluations utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Create tailored treatment plans that not only target immediate goals but also address comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individual speech therapy interventions centered on enhancing communication, language acquisition, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing mechanisms. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to form unified and effective care strategies. Educate patients and their families to promote progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care transition throughout the recovery process. Maintain detailed and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional protocols. Engage in continuous learning to stay ahead of advancements within the field through educational opportunities and peer interactions. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for varying age groups, enriched by a solid comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
