Job Summary and Responsibilities The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is essential for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and effective coordination of unit functions during assigned shifts. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to established policies and procedures. You will serve as a resource for staff, embodying the organization's mission and values to ensure exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities Include: Assisting with patient admission and discharge processes to streamline operations and ensure exemplary patient care. Engaging in ongoing assessments of the quality of care provided, alongside the management team. Collaborating with experts and managers to cultivate a teamwork-driven environment that promotes better outcomes and service. Maintaining a patient-first philosophy and participating in service recovery initiatives when necessary. Implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds, to enhance staff engagement. Contributing to the interviewing, selection, and training of new staff, while ensuring personnel policies are followed and performance evaluations are conducted appropriately. Managing staff scheduling and optimizing labor in alignment with patient care requirements and productivity guidelines. Overseeing inventory control and assisting with the management of medical supplies and equipment. Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment. Must hold an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) designation. Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required.
