Opportunity Overview: Technical Product Owner for HR and Legal Solutions Make a significant impact by connecting business needs with technical execution for our HR and Legal functions at Cengage. In this essential position, you will shape the product vision, manage the product backlog, and translate business requirements into actionable user stories for our development teams. Key Responsibilities: Define the product vision and develop a strategic roadmap for HR and legal systems in alignment with business goals. Incorporate future capabilities from Workday and legal technologies into product planning and optimization advice. Prioritize and maintain the product backlog with clearly defined acceptance criteria that consider architectural constraints. Convert user needs into detailed requirements for development teams, leveraging your deep knowledge of Workday and system architecture. Collaborate with HR and Legal leaders to provide strategic recommendations focused on scalable long-term development. Facilitate communication among Legal, HR, and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and project timelines. Assess the impact of system changes on integrated systems and guide integration teams accordingly. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Guide development teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Oversee the end-to-end delivery process and establish sustainable support systems. Essential Skills: In-depth understanding of Workday, including domains, security configurations, and integration processes. Experience with legal tech such as contract lifecycle management and compliance tools. Ability to accurately scope changes and assess impacts across various modules and integrations. Knowledge of integration architecture and its effects on connected systems. Expertise in translating business needs into technical requirements for scalable Workday solutions. Familiarity with Workday's roadmap and upcoming features. Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts. Proficiency in agile methodologies for effective product management. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for informed decision-making. Knowledge of HR and legal operations, along with relevant regulatory requirements. Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and guide teams. Preferred familiarity with Salesforce and SAP ERP platforms. Compensation: At Cengage Group, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees. The salary range for this position is between $101,900.00 - $140,000.00 USD, with a potential annual bonus of up to 15% based on individual and company performance.
