Job Description Join Oracle's Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team as a Senior Principal Software Development Engineer specializing in the AI Data Platform. In this role, you'll empower global customers to harness the full potential of their data. Your expertise in architectural design will be critical in optimizing and scaling AI/ML-centric data platforms, enabling seamless adoption of Oracle AI Data Platform, Gen AI services, and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate strong experience in data engineering, high-performance computing (HPC), and data science. Leverage tools such as Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Flink, while possessing a deep understanding of distributed systems. Engage in full-stack development, covering web applications, RESTful APIs, and deployment processes. Design, implement, and maintain scalable software components that support AI/ML workloads effectively. Create APIs, SDKs, and automation frameworks to facilitate the adoption of Oracle AI Data Platform and Gen AI services. Focus on optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed data and AI systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, field) to tackle complex technical challenges. Engage in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes to ensure high-quality deliverables. Document technical designs and actively contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives (blogs, internal documents, demos). Continuously explore new tools, frameworks, and best practices in AI, cloud, and data engineering. Primary Skills: Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic frameworks (e.g., MCP, LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel). Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases (e.g., Oracle 26ai, FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate). Familiarity with OCI Gen AI Services and model lifecycle workflows. Strong skills in Python and REST API development. Experience building autonomous agents and orchestration pipelines. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Big Data Service (BDS). Proficiency in big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases. Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures. Manage and optimize large-scale databases effectively. Solid understanding of networking concepts to design and optimize data transmission networks. Exemplary troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Passion for continuous learning in big data technologies and trends.
