Job Description GPAC is partnering with a well-established national food manufacturer seeking a Quality Assurance Director. In this pivotal role, you will manage quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with company, customer, and government standards. You'll be inspecting and auditing operations across all phases of quality performance, including raw materials, production, packaging, and distribution. Responsibilities Implement and oversee QA policies and procedures to meet company, customer, and government requirements, providing feedback and conducting necessary follow-ups for effective corrective actions. Engage in customer audits and annual SQF audits as required. Conduct pre-shipment reviews, analyze CCPs and validation studies, and report any deficiencies concerning GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs. Direct inspection and sampling activities to maintain continuous oversight of materials, facilities, and products. Conduct product inspections including specifications, temperature, and weight checks. Identify and resolve issues promptly; analyze information effectively, formulate alternative solutions, and collaborate well in group problem-solving situations. Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to ensure outstanding housekeeping and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds. Qualifications Strong computer skills with an emphasis on analytical tools and food-processing equipment. In-depth knowledge of quality control processes applicable to the food-processing industry. Proficient in quality process control, HACCP, SSOP, and SOP. Familiarity with USDA and FDA standards. Self-motivated, results-driven, and a strategic thinker. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred. Minimum of five years of quality control experience in a food-manufacturing environment. HACCP certification is preferred. SQF certification is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
