Description This full-time, entry-level position is based at one of Amazon's fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. If you're customer-focused and want to lead a dedicated team across our Operations network, this is the role for you! Our warehouses are dynamic environments where engaging with team members and being on the production floor is essential. As a Fulfillment Area Manager, you will play a pivotal role in engaging, leading, and developing your team in a warehouse setting. Your primary focus will be to motivate, mentor, and manage your team toward achieving operational goals. Amazon provides robust training and development to help you become a remarkable people leader. In this role, you will ensure your team has the tools and support needed to excel while upholding safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: Support, mentor, and motivate a team of 50-100 direct report Associates. Work independently in an autonomous environment. Stand and walk during shifts of up to 12 hours. Be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs, typically following a fixed 4-day workweek with 3 days off. Oversee truck deliveries and package handling and sorting using pallet jacks and PIT equipment as necessary. Adapt to varying noise levels in the work environment. Safely lift packages up to 49 pounds and frequently engage in physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Climb and descend stairs as needed. Basic Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026. (All degree requirements must be fulfilled before your first day). Preferred Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities. Current enrollment in or graduation from a degree program in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field.
