Location: Hybrid (In-person & remote) Time Commitment: ~8–15 hours/month Reports To: The Board of Directors and President About the Role The Community Outreach Chair builds bridges. You’ll grow Casa Xolo’s visibility by connecting with other nonprofits, community leaders, and potential volunteers — helping weave the relationships that make our work possible. Responsibilities Develop partnerships with local organizations and schools. Represent Casa Xolo at community events and festivals. Help recruit volunteers and foster network relationships. Work closely with the Fundraising & Events Chair on joint initiatives. Help design outreach materials and messaging. Ideal Candidate Community-minded communicator who loves connecting people. Experience in outreach, PR, or community organizing a plus. Aligned with Casa Xolo’s mission of cultural and animal care. About Casa Xolo: Casa Xolo Foundation is a BIPOC-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building community-powered sanctuaries for rescued animals and the people who love them. Inspired by ancestral knowledge and the healing bond between humans and animals, we center collective care, conservation, and cultural connection. Our work includes rescue and rehabilitation, educational workshops, and advocacy for BIPOC participation in animal and land stewardship.
