Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Americus, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,984 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Americus, Georgia, 31719! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care (Medical Surgical) Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hospital medical surgical units License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: - Must be within a strict 75-mile radius rule from the address on the traveler's driver's license to the facility. - Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in hospital medical surgical units. Description: The unit has a total of 36 beds. ACLS certification is preferred, while BLS certification is required. Patient ratios are 6:1 for RN to LPN and 12:1 for CNA. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. There is a Charge Nurse and Nurse Aides available on the unit. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. Scrub colors consist of white tops and hunter green pants. Telemetry services are available. Nurses will not be required to read strips. There is a Hospitalist on duty 24/7. An IV Team is not available, but PICC consultations can be made if needed. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Shifts are for 12 hours. Occasional floating to other units may be required. Floor-specific orientation includes 3 shifts. Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, altered mental status, and sepsis. The cancellation policy requires 12 hours every 2 weeks. BSN is not required.
