This role is responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, commission oversight, and supporting acquisition integrations. The Controller partners closely with leadership to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations Plan, direct, and manage all accounting functionsOversee financial reporting, including annual financial statements and quarterly reportsMaintain internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsLead the annual financial audit and coordinate additional audits as neededOversee producer commission processes and client premium sweep management Leadership & Process Improvement Hire, develop, and lead accounting staffIdentify and implement process and technology improvementsEvaluate technical accounting issues and recommend procedural enhancementsDevelop and monitor key financial and business performance metricsPartner with BI teams to build financial reporting and analytics Strategic & Integration Support Manage budgeting process with profit center leadersSupport financial integration of newly acquired agenciesEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Qualifications 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar)Prior supervisory experience requiredStrong knowledge of accounting systems, reporting, and internal controlsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferredCPA preferred, but not requiredInsurance industry experience a plus
