Description The Amazon Private Label team for consumables is on a mission to create a global portfolio of essential products that meet the daily needs of our customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Category Manager who is deeply passionate about the dynamic landscape of consumer packaged goods, online delivery, and product innovation. You will play a critical role in transforming the daily lives of our customers worldwide. Your expertise in data analysis, cost reduction in supply chains, and business development will be key in driving our P&L improvements. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of both online and offline assortments across channels to determine the optimal product selection for .com, based on market trends and customer needs analysis. Regularly track category P&Ls on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure profitability goals are met while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Work collaboratively with the supply chain team to develop scalable processes, operational planning strategies, and thorough financial analysis to support accurate forecasting and inventory investments. Influence key decision-makers by clearly articulating brand positioning, unique selling propositions, and target customer profiles. Collaborate actively with various functions within the Consumables Private Label team, including Commercialization, Pricing, and Instock Management. Engage with cross-functional teams such as retail category teams, marketing, product development, legal, product compliance, social responsibility, finance, and transportation to achieve customer satisfaction and net revenue goals. Maintain an in-depth understanding of market segments, seasonal trends, and global events while continuously monitoring competitor strategies. This position is full-time and may require up to 5% travel to domestic or international Amazon locations throughout the year. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, product marketing, business development, or technology. Proven experience in delivering product features and making strategic trade-offs. Demonstrated ability to drive roadmap strategy and definition. Experience in managing end-to-end product delivery. Preferred Qualifications Experience in influencing senior leadership using data-driven insights. Proven success in working across functional teams and with senior stakeholders. The base salary range for this position is as follows: $136,000.00 - $184,100.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. Work location will be Seattle, WA.
