Essential Functions: Manage the setup and configuration of various low-voltage systems. Run, terminate, and label cables in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Conduct routine maintenance checks, ensuring optimal system functionality. Identify and resolve issues in low-voltage systems to minimize downtime. Provide technical support and training to end users. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations during installations and repairs. Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Document installations, maintenance, and repairs accurately. Evaluate current systems for necessary upgrades. Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers for successful project completion. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Lead and participate in team activities, providing support and guidance to colleagues. Promote ethical conduct and compliance within the workplace. Physical Activities: Ability to communicate effectively in person or via telecommunications. Utilize fine motor skills to manipulate varying sizes and weights of objects. Climbs ladders and navigates stairs as necessary. Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Ability to visually inspect equipment and locate objects. Ability to work in confined spaces. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically to multiple facilities, potentially requiring overnight stays. Ability to work or receive training at various locations. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards. Preferred Qualifications: Training or certification in low voltage systems. BICSI Installer Certification. CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+). Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch). OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification/training.
