Job Title: Emergency Response Coordinator Company: American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) Location: Jeffersonville, IN; Convent, LA; Harahan, LA; or Houston, TX Job Type: Full-Time; Salary Schedule: 7 - 12 Hour Days, 7 - 12 Hour Nights, 7 Days Off Summary: Join our dedicated team at American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) as an Emergency Response Coordinator, where you will be crucial in managing operational emergencies. You will provide immediate assistance through the ACBL Incident Response Line and support our incident commanders in case management. This dynamic role requires involvement in investigations, documentation of incident responses, and ensuring the follow-through of corrective and preventive actions. In this position, you will utilize our electronic systems to ensure thorough closure of tasks and actions stemming from incidents and inspections. Your Impact: Promptly answer and respond to emergency calls, coordinating communication with ACBL responders. Assist incident responders with case management including investigations and documentation. Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Collaborate with operations and reliability teams on corrective and preventive actions from incidents. Train new team members on emergency hotline procedures and investigation processes. Generate reports on incident activities, outcomes, and corrective/preventive tasks. Perform all other duties as assigned. What We Are Looking For: You Will Need To Have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset. The ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. Leadership and management skills to drive alignment with ACBL core values. Proficiency in MS Office, logistics management software, and investigative tools. A commitment to ongoing professional development through investigative training courses. Even Better If You Have: A Bachelor's degree in communications, logistics, safety & health, or a related field is preferred. 5+ years of experience in safety, operations, logistics, emergency services, or related roles is preferred.
