We are seeking a Lead Construction Manager for Data Center Projects to spearhead our large-scale, fast-moving initiatives from start to finish. Your expertise will ensure we meet key targets for schedules, budgets, quality, and safety in a collaborative environment. You will be at the forefront of leading cross-functional teams, including project managers, commissioning experts, and contractors, while efficiently managing complexities. Play a pivotal role in introducing innovative methods and technologies that drive efficiency and sustainability in our data center developments. Key Responsibilities: Direct the successful execution of complex data center projects on a large scale. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, emphasizing a culture of safety. Oversee budgets and schedules while proactively managing risks. Collaborate with design and operations teams for seamless project transitions. Implement cutting-edge construction practices that enhance performance and sustainability. Responsibilities: Lead the base building and MEP infrastructure efforts, ensuring technical excellence. Supervise all construction activities, ensuring they align with schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Create and uphold detailed, milestone-driven schedules that promote accountability. Assess risks related to timely project delivery and collaborate with stakeholders on mitigation strategies. Manage tenant fit-out integration, facilitating smooth transitions through design, construction, and commissioning phases. Implement stringent QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with design intent and industry standards. Work closely with design teams to ensure site execution aligns with approved specifications. Act as the primary point of contact for contractors and vendors, ensuring clear communication. Identify potential risks proactively and execute mitigation plans to safeguard project outcomes. Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, regulations, and company standards. Provide data-driven feedback on contractor performance to foster continuous improvement. Conduct regular site visits to monitor schedule adherence, safety protocols, and quality throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills: In-depth knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems for data center core and shell. Experience managing startup and commissioning processes for major data center projects. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure scenarios. Ability to develop and execute program-level strategies for reliable project delivery. Stay current on data center design, construction, and operational needs, integrating innovative, sustainable solutions. Skilled in managing large, complex builds, maintaining oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and change management. Proven leadership capabilities, promoting safety and performance within diverse teams. Expertise in budget management and tracking performance while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Proficient in early risk identification and developing effective mitigation strategies. Ability to source and manage vendors while enforcing accountability and safety protocols. Thorough knowledge of codes, standards, and company policies, ensuring full compliance. Exceptional communication skills essential for delivering clear and actionable updates to stakeholders. Onsite Location: This role requires your presence in Saline, Michigan and does not offer remote work options. Disclaimer: This position may require adherence to specific health and occupational mandates. Compensation and Benefits: The compensation range is competitive, with annual salaries from $120,100 to $251,600. Eligibility for bonuses, equity, and compensation deferrals may be available.
