Job Description Join our team as a Commercial Parts Specialist, where you will play a vital role in driving the growth of our commercial business by enhancing customer relationships and ensuring excellent service. This full-time position requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, along with the ability to source products efficiently to meet our customers' needs. Primary Responsibilities Maintain strong relationships with commercial customers. Deliver a top-notch GAS2 selling experience to commercial clients. Meet and exceed personal and store sales goals. Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Team Members. Work closely with the General Manager to identify training and development needs for Team Members. Dispatch drivers to ensure timely deliveries. Manage commercial stock programs effectively. Develop and maintain relationships with second source suppliers. Secondary Responsibilities Oversee the core bank and commercial returns. Manage commercial credit accounts efficiently. Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure proper driver coverage. Success Factors Friendly and effective communication skills. Strong ability to locate and stock parts accurately. Knowledge of safety protocols and practices. Proficiency in inventory systems and store operations. Expertise in automotive systems and parts knowledge. Ability to operate POS and parts lookup systems. ASE P2 certification or comparable readiness. Advanced skills in commercial customer sales. Strong organizational ability and multitasking skills. Effective problem-solving and listening abilities. Essential Job Skills Required for Success Understanding of automotive systems, including engine, suspension, brakes, and electronics. Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus) for effective communication with customers and peers. Ability to read and interpret various documents, including parts catalogs and manuals. Capable of following written, oral, or diagram-based instructions. Proficiency in basic math for accurate calculations. Effective use of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel). Robust organizational skills. Understanding of commercial profitability concepts, including market opportunities. Flexible availability for varying work hours, including days, evenings, and weekends. Prior Experience That Contributes to Success A minimum of 3 years of relevant automotive parts experience recommended. Demonstrated sales experience with a focus on customer transactions. Experience in team leadership and collaboration to achieve goals. Education High school diploma or GED. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory. Physical Demands This role requires physical stamina, primarily involving walking and standing. Candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Work Environment This position generally works indoors but may require occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions. The role may also involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is typically moderate. This position is eligible for sales commission based on individual and store performance.
