Position Summary As a Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehabilitation, you will assess and evaluate both the physical and psychological well-being of our cardiac rehab patients. You will monitor exercise plans and guide patients toward achieving their health goals. Your role will involve collecting data on patient outcomes, implementing initiatives to ensure patient satisfaction, and utilizing your leadership skills to educate patients and their families on recovery and wellness strategies. You will coordinate and plan nursing care with utmost attention and timeliness. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions and needs through evaluation processes. Develop and implement tailored care plans based on patients' medical histories and diagnoses. Conduct exercise prescriptions and group exercise classes aligning with AACVPR and Williamson Health guidelines. Provide education to patients and their significant others regarding cardiac health and lifestyle modifications. Administer medications and monitor their effects as necessary. Ensure precise and timely documentation of all patient interactions. Keep referring physicians updated with regular patient reports. Maintain and oversee department equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Contribute ideas and actively participate in department processes to enhance quality and promote AACVPR accreditation. Qualifications Current license as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or a Compact State. Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution. Proficient in EKG interpretation. BLS certification within 90 days of hire, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Preferred Experience Experience in outpatient cardiac rehabilitation is preferred, with a strong ability to educate patients and families on modifying risk factors related to heart disease. Physical Requirements Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Prolonged standing and the capacity to work up to twelve hours a day. Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 175 lbs. Capacity to lift and turn patients, with assistance, up to 250 lbs.
