As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with a talented team using cutting-edge technologies to deliver creative solutions for diverse clients. You will take charge of designing, implementing, and configuring automation systems, refreshing older equipment with modern control platforms, and enhancing existing manufacturing lines across various industries. Key Responsibilities: Conduct customer requirement reviews to understand specifications, select components, and design control layouts while programming PLC and HMI to exceed customer expectations. Implement comprehensive software solutions, including PLC, HMI, and integration with third-party devices based on control specifications and schematics. Conduct software installations, perform I/O testing, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI software issues. Engage in product and system design reviews, along with machine testing, installation, and start-up phases. Design and develop electrical control systems that work seamlessly with process manufacturing equipment. Your Qualifications: Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electrical/electronic control - preferred but not necessary! A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial electrical/machine control system design. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming and products. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor. Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities. Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with process control equipment. Collaborative spirit to work with engineering and manufacturing teams for issue resolution on the plant floor. Specific Requirements: Knowledge of VFDs and coordinated drive systems (AB PowerFlex, Siemens, etc.). Familiarity with motion control systems, including servo applications. Advanced PLC programming knowledge: Rockwell Automation RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, Connected Components Workbench (knowledge of Siemens S7, PCS7 is a plus). Understanding of network and communication protocols. Experience with HMI systems, such as Rockwell Automation Factory Talk View Studio SE/ME (knowledge of Siemens WinCC, Wonderware InTouch or others is a plus). Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. Additional Skills: Experience in designing systems that adhere to the latest safety standards. Knowledge in vision systems and robotic programming would be advantageous. Your Future Starts Here!
