Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU/PICU Location: HCA Florida Kendall Hospital - Miami, FL Department: Respiratory Therapy - NICU/PICU About the Unit Facility: HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Address: 11750 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33175 Department: Respiratory NICU/PICU Building: Main Hospital Tower Team Structure: Director Manager 1 Supervisor/Charge Therapist per shift Respiratory Therapy Staff Equipment & Technology: High Flow Devices 3100A Oscillator Bunnell Ventilator Servo Ventilators Continuous Nebulizer Systems Nitric Oxide Heliox Therapy Standard Nebulizers Documentation System: Meditech Floating Policy: May provide coverage for adult units for nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, chest physiotherapy (CPT), and related treatments. Required Qualifications Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered: Active BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital experience as an RRT Current NICU/PICU experience Preferred Qualifications Previous Meditech experience (highly preferred by department leadership) Role Responsibilities Respiratory Therapists in the NICU/PICU provide specialized respiratory care for infants and pediatric patients, including: Delivery and management of advanced respiratory therapies Ventilator management and airway care Medication administration and aerosol delivery Monitoring and evaluation of respiratory status Collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team Ideal Candidate Profile Strong team player Critical thinker with excellent clinical judgment Patient focused and committed to high quality care Thrives in a fast paced environment Adaptable to change Collaborative in interdisciplinary care settings Dress Code Required uniform color: Light Gray (Silver) Hospital Highlights & Recognition HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a: 447-bed tertiary care and teaching facility Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center Level III NICU Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center WHY JUDGE HEALTHCARE?
