Commercial Insurance Claims Service Representative Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a Claims Service Representative in our St. Petersburg, FL office. The Commercial Insurance Claims Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling phone calls and coordinating communication via email or phone voice mails and relaying them to the appropriate party. The Customer Service Representative performs the administrative functions for the Claims Group. Duties include handling customer service calls as needed and follow administrative workflows for Claims Group support. Essential Tasks: Reports to the Claims Operations Manager and/or Team Lead Service in an administrative support capacity Understand claims handling guidelines and workflows. Carrier, Agency, or Third Party Administrator claims experience is preferred. Systems: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds. Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens. Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person. Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key. Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions.
