Location: SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mount Vernon Worker Type: Regular Pay Range: $29.46 - $44.19 per hour About the Role: As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you'll play a crucial role in evaluating and caring for patients requiring respiratory therapy. Your expertise will help administer prescribed therapeutic services, making a significant impact on patients' health and well-being. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment types and frequencies, creating tailored care plans based on diagnoses. Deliver respiratory care services in line with physician orders, departmental policies, and established guidelines. Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment while keeping thorough records of patient conditions. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate patient outcomes related to treatments. Educate patients and families about their health conditions and inform them about community support resources. Assist in the care and maintenance of respiratory equipment and manage departmental inventory. Respond proactively to medical emergencies and rapid response situations. Maintain a constant state of alertness for patient safety. Complete additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: No prior experience required; we welcome new graduates and encourage applying! Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively through speech, standing, walking, and frequent lifting. Comfortable with repetitive movements and using equipment for patient care. Occasional lifting of patients and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
