We are thrilled to invite a Rail Project Controls Specialist to our team, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing project performance and driving successful outcomes. In this role, you will provide vital support for project execution through precise data analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Collaborating with technical, operational, and management teams, your efforts will ensure that cost, schedule, and performance data are reliable and actionable, empowering our clients to achieve their objectives. Your Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive project controls support for rail and transit initiatives with a focus on planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and performance reporting. Develop and manage work breakdown structures, cost breakdown structures, and project schedules to ensure project alignment. Monitor cost and schedule data regularly; identify discrepancies and recommend effective mitigation strategies. Create and deliver regular project reports, dashboards, and presentations for both internal teams and client leadership. Facilitate change management by identifying potential scope changes, analyzing trends, and contributing to impact assessments. Help integrate project data with internal management and accounting systems to enhance efficiency. Coordinate document control and configuration management activities to support project controls functions as needed. Engage in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reporting accuracy and standardization. Provide support to project managers, field teams, and client stakeholders with data requests and analysis. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered. Possess a foundational understanding of project controls principles, including cost management, scheduling, performance tracking, and reporting. Be proficient in project controls tools such as Excel and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with rail, transit, or other infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and risk analysis methodologies. Experience in change management processes, cost forecasting, or trend analysis is a plus. Knowledgeable in document control systems or project management information systems. Previous experience in client-facing roles or large, multidisciplinary project teams.
