Explore a career with TiDB and be part of our pioneering journey. About The Role: We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive our Next-gen TiDB Cloud BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) initiative. In this role, you will define the strategy and oversee the development of a secure, compliant, and highly automated deployment model for running TiDB in customers' cloud environments while managing it from TiDB Cloud. Collaboration with engineering, security, solutions, and GTM teams will be key as you work to bring BYOC from concept to global deployment across AWS, Azure, and other cloud providers. Responsibilities: Strategy and Roadmap: Define the BYOC strategy, positioning, and multi-cloud roadmap. Translate market needs into clear PRDs for operations and align with next-gen architecture requirements, including sovereignty, isolation, and control. Collaborate on pricing, packaging, and financial operations. Technical Architecture and Security: Own the requirements for secure networking and compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Deliver a remotely managed model with comprehensive telemetry and diagnostics. Customer Leadership and Performance: Conduct private previews with key customers and equip field teams with essential resources, such as solution guides, runbooks, and playbooks. Define and refine KPIs to drive continuous improvement in service delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. 7+ years of product management experience in cloud infrastructure or managed services. Strong technical expertise with major cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure. Familiarity with infrastructure as code and deployment patterns. Understanding of security and compliance for customer-managed environments. Proven experience in defining day 2 operations for stateful services, including upgrades and backups. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and engage with enterprise customers. Excellent communication skills for authoring clear documentation and reports. Nice To Have: Experience with distributed databases or large-scale data platforms. Background in delivering BYOC or hybrid control plane products. Knowledge of data movement ecosystems and observability stacks. Financial acumen regarding usage-based products and cloud cost management.
