Elevate your abilities in team-building, problem-solving, and guest service. Responsibilities/Duties: Guide crew members in prioritizing business needs during shifts. Ensure shifts adhere to company standards for cleanliness, guest service, speed of service, and product quality. Assist in training new crew members on company policies and procedures, emphasizing food safety, crew/guest safety, and excellent service. Provide coaching and collaborate with the General Manager on disciplinary actions when needed. Foster a positive and professional atmosphere among team members to create an uplifting work environment. Report crew-related matters to the General Manager, District Leader, or Human Resources. Handle administrative tasks, including cash management, product inventory, and reporting on sales, speed of service, and inventory discrepancies. Ensure compliance with state regulations during shifts, including meal break timings and harassment prevention protocols. Assist with ordering and receiving products from vendors. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold environments. High levels of mobility and flexibility. Capacity to bend, reach, kneel, grasp, wipe, and scoop as needed. Qualification Standards: Must hold a valid ServSafe Certificate. Must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus. Minimum of 6 months of experience as an El Pollo Loco crew member or at least 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry. Basic understanding of computer systems, including email and internet navigation. Basic math skills required for the role. Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay opportunities are available.
