The Becoming Love Project Location Atlanta metro area and hybrid Time Commitment 8–12 hours per week Spring 2026 semester, with option to extend About The Becoming Love Project The Becoming Love Project is a nonprofit storytelling and film organization creating narrative-driven work at the intersection of film, culture, and impact. We operate like a creative studio inside a nonprofit, developing films, programs, and storytelling experiences that translate lived experience into cinematic narrative while also generating insight, learning, and measurable impact. Our work supports vulnerable populations and centers ethical, research-informed storytelling. About This Internship This internship is designed for students who are interested in how creative programs work, how impact is measured, and how storytelling intersects with data, research, and evaluation. As a Programming Intern, you’ll support the design, implementation, and evaluation of storytelling programs and film-adjacent initiatives, including the Youth Screenwriting and Storytelling Program. You’ll be involved in both creative process and program analysis, helping us understand what participants experience, what outcomes emerge, and how the work evolves. This role is structured, mentored, and hands-on. It’s ideal for students considering careers in research, social impact, program management, producing, arts administration, or graduate study. What You Will Work On Program Design and Support Support planning and coordination for storytelling and film-related programs Assist with session preparation, materials, and logistics Help track participation, attendance, and program milestones Data, Research, and Evaluation Support collection of qualitative and quantitative program data Assist with surveys, reflections, feedback forms, and basic data organization Help document participant experiences, outcomes, and emerging patterns Support analysis of what’s working, what’s emerging, and what could improve Story and Creative Development Support collaborative story development activities tied to film and storytelling projects Assist with organizing scripts, outlines, drafts, and creative documents Observe and support how themes move from conversation to written and cinematic form Film and Creative Production Support Support program elements connected to short films and creative production Assist with scheduling, coordination, and preparation for screenings or creative gatherings Learn how storytelling programs feed into film development and production Operations and Organization Maintain organized digital folders, datasets, and program materials Support internal documentation, notes, and reflections Assist with real timelines and deliverables connected to live projects This role sits at the intersection of creativity, structure, and insight. Who This Is For This role is a strong fit if you are: A current college student or recent graduate in psychology, sociology, public health, data science, social work, policy, nonprofit management, arts administration, or a related field Organized, detail-oriented, and analytical Comfortable working with both people and information Interested in research, evaluation, and impact-driven creative work Curious about how storytelling and film can be studied, measured, and improved No prior research or film experience is required. Curiosity, care, and follow-through matter more.
