About You: We are in search of a seasoned leader in the High Tech industry to spearhead the digital transformation of top-tier semiconductor, electronics, and hardware manufacturing companies. This pivotal role centers on positioning Google Cloud as the essential platform for innovation across the high-tech sector—from silicon design and manufacturing to supply chain management and the development of intelligent, connected devices. Your Responsibilities: Strategic Industry Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the High Tech industry, addressing unique challenges within sectors like semiconductors and consumer electronics. Represent the voice of the industry within Google and translate the needs of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain leaders into actionable strategies. Engineering and R&D Transformation: Serve as a trusted advisor to CTOs and VPs of Engineering at strategic high-tech clients. Focus on transforming core R&D processes using Google Cloud's advanced infrastructure for workloads like Electronic Design Automation, simulation, and digital twin creation. Data, AI, and Smart Operations: Lead initiatives to apply Google's Data and AI technologies to develop intelligent manufacturing operations and resilient supply chains. This includes yield optimization, predictive maintenance, and advanced supply chain analytics. Advocate for the use of generative AI to automate factory floor operations and to innovate connected devices. Ecosystem and Partner Development: Cultivate strategic alliances with key industry players, including EDA vendors, equipment manufacturers, and software providers to build a robust ecosystem on Google Cloud, ensuring comprehensive end-to-end solutions. Thought Leadership and Market Influence: Establish credibility and showcase thought leadership as the public face of Google Cloud in the High Tech sector, engaging in industry conferences and publishing technical papers on cloud applications. Travel Requirements: This role may require travel, varying from 0% to 100%, based on business needs and client requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (minimum 12 years of relevant experience). 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in the semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing sectors. 7+ years of expertise in a key area of the high-tech value chain (e.g., chip design, semiconductor manufacturing). 7+ years of experience leading technology-driven initiatives in a high-tech context. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical field. Experience using public cloud platforms for technical workloads. Demonstrated success in deploying AI/ML solutions in manufacturing/environments. An extensive network of executive relationships in the high-tech industry. Exceptional executive presence with experience in presenting complex topics to diverse audiences.
