KPMG is looking for an Associate Director of Contract Negotiation and Vendor Management to be part of our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead the formulation and implementation of category management strategies in collaboration with stakeholders, encompassing needs analysis, sourcing, contracting, negotiations, and vendor management for third-party content products and services. Partner with internal stakeholders to devise commercial models that extend beyond conventional data licensing, aligning with KPMG's evolving Generative AI integrated go-to-market and service delivery frameworks. Establish and refine both short-term and long-term sourcing plans and vendor strategies in collaboration with category leads and key stakeholders, including data funders and data analytics leaders. Oversee cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management processes. Collaborate closely with legal, compliance, and risk management departments to guarantee adherence to policies and contractual commitments. Identify and introduce process enhancements in partnership with category leads, while monitoring and reporting on third-party spending, negotiated savings, contracting cycle times, and operational KPIs. Qualifications: A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and contracting within the third-party content arena or experience managing business research operations with a focus on sourcing, structuring, and funding third-party content contracts. A Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Broad knowledge of standard third-party content providers and their data offerings, including Bloomberg, Factset, Gartner, Lexis/Nexis, Moodys, and S&P, along with strong technological proficiency in MS Office, BI Analytics, and P2P software like Ariba or Coupa. A proven track record of successfully negotiating substantial, intricate data licenses with favorable terms. Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and influencing skills to navigate complex organizational frameworks and ambiguous situations effectively. Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, including the capacity to facilitate stakeholder meetings efficiently.
