Join our dynamic team! As a Shift Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience while guiding your team to success. This position is with an independent franchise of Taco Bell, meaning the franchisee will be your only employer. Our franchisee sets their own wage and benefit programs, which may vary. Role Overview: Support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by running efficient shifts with confidence and self-sufficiency. Take ownership of your responsibilities and proactively address challenges while assisting your teammates. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding customer service by following the Manager-In-Charge (MIC) Success Routine and completing all tasks under People, Customers, and Service. Ensure all team members fulfill their Shift Excellence tasks for their positions. Maintain a neat and clean appearance and ensure your team adheres to the company uniform guidelines. Demonstrate that customer needs are the highest priority. Guarantee food safety, quality, and accuracy of orders. Resolve customer complaints swiftly while keeping a positive customer relationship. Greet every customer with a smile and maintain politeness in interactions. Work efficiently and with urgency. Collaborate effectively with management and staff. Foster teamwork and assist fellow employees when needed. Show positivity and enthusiasm to encourage co-workers. Attendance: Understand your scheduled work shifts, arrive on time, in uniform, and ready to work. Give adequate notice if you cannot attend. Use the approved timekeeping system to accurately record hours worked. Initiative and Energy: Proactively take action and maintain a high level of activity. Talent Development: Provide regular feedback to the RGM regarding team members’ performance. Offer ongoing constructive and motivational feedback to team members. Participate actively in training team members. Address conflicts constructively, working with the RGM for solutions. Act Like an Owner: Assist in the management of Profit and Loss by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, and managing labor. Oversee proper food preparation, portioning, and cooking times. Support the RGM in facility maintenance and ensure adherence to health and safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements: Preference for internal promotion from Hourly Champion position. Must be at least 18 years old. Pass a background check and drug test. Have reliable transportation. Ability to perform basic business math. Able to stock shelves and coolers. Effective in managing and leading subordinate employees. Capable of cleaning and maintaining the restaurant, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs. Maintain cleanliness of the parking lot and surrounding grounds. Comfortable with standing, walking, and lifting for most of the shift. This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive.
