Position Summary In this role, you will prepare and deliver high-quality technical training, evaluate student progress, and maintain subject matter expertise. You'll be involved in curriculum design and will work toward enhancing the effectiveness of training programs, ensuring our trainees are equipped with the best knowledge and skills. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $58.65 to $93.27. This range reflects our good faith belief about the pay structure at the time of posting, tailored to the locality. Your individual hourly rate will depend on various factors, including your skills, education, experience, and market value. Job Responsibilities Exhibit all responsibilities of a professional instructor. Serve as a role model for safety. Maintain a conducive classroom environment, addressing technology and behavioral issues as needed. Effectively convey knowledge, as assessed by feedback and observations. Deliver course materials in alignment with the established objectives. Facilitate moderate to complex training sessions independently and effectively. Collaborate with curriculum development teams based on course feedback to enhance training quality. Communicate student outcomes and challenges with leadership to support remediation efforts. Integrate innovative techniques into training delivery. Foster collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. Adapt training methods to meet diverse learner needs. Oversee the proctoring and administration of exams as required. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Must secure PG&E internal training certification within 12 months of employment. 3 years of relevant experience in Substation or Generation trades. Mastery of the skills needed for the training area. Desired: Completion of an Electrician or Electrical Technician Apprenticeship. Preferred college degree in an engineering or technical field. Technical Training Certification. 7 years of experience in a journey-level trade. 3 years of experience in adult education. Experience in developing training processes. Experience working with collaborative committees. Previous roles as a rotational or guest instructor at the Academy.
