Registered Nurse Unit Manager

Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and supervision for assigned nursing unit. Oversee day-to-day operations of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Monitor patient/resident care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility standards. Conduct rounds to assess care delivery, documentation, and staff performance. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Assist in staff recruitment, orientation, training, and performance evaluation. Ensure accurate documentation in medical records and adherence to HIPAA standards. Address family/resident concerns promptly and professionally. Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and safety programs. Act as a clinical resource and mentor for staff, promoting professional development. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine 2-3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role. Long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care experience preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
