POSITION: Senior Process Engineer LOCATION: Lake Charles I. SUMMARY OF POSITION:Motivated Process Engineer contributing technical expertise, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery with high level of independence and ownership II. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform broad range or process engineering fundamentalsDevelop heat and material balancesDevelop process flow diagramsDevelop process specifications for equipmentDevelop hydraulic circuit pressure drop analysisDevelop heat integration/recovery analysisDevelop preliminary piping and instrumentation diagramsDevelop and directs process unit test runsTroubleshoot client processesDevelop process designsDevelop relief valve design and validation per API RP 520/521Provide written process narratives and process engineering reportsDirectly interface with clientsInterface with the multidiscipline detailed design groupAssists Sr. Estimator and Scheduler in the development of cost estimating, scheduling, and resource allocationPerform at or below project udgetActively pursue professional engineering license (if not already licensed) III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: B. S. in Chemical Engineering from accredited program8+ years of process engineering experience or operationsAbility to communicate effectively with multi-discipline teams and clientsAbility to peer review and quality check engineering deliverablesExtensive Process Simulation experience (HYSYS, UNISYS preferred)P. E. license preferredAvailable for short-term travel IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:Reports to the Process Department Engineer Manager V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at timesAbility to perform field work as required at client sites
