Senior Backend Software Engineer - Blockchain Nodes

CB Node is Coinbase's bridge to the blockchain world! In this role, you'll be at the forefront, managing the blockchain nodes that connect us to 55 different blockchains, impacting our Wallet, Retail, Institutional, and Prime products. You'll be involved in: Blockchain Traffic Management, including stateful failover across external providers. Ensuring data consistency and block freshness for essential internal services like wallets and indexers. Guaranteeing reliability and scalability across our blockchain platform. Innovating with technologies to decouple blockchain nodes' storage and compute functions. Creating a more efficient platform on top of our existing nodes to reduce engineering workload and operational tasks. Responsibilities: Enhancing blockchain nodes, automating processes to reduce manual effort and improve service efficiency, while exploring new investment areas for automation. What you'll bring: A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience. Experience in designing, building, and maintaining production services with knowledge of service-oriented architecture. Ability to deliver high-quality, thoroughly tested code that meets customer needs. A strong commitment to building an inclusive financial system that enhances global connectivity. Preferred qualifications: Experience with service ownership. Skills in automation and process improvement. Knowledge of blockchain technologies. Experience with integration testing. Job #: P74403 Compensation Transparency: The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD.
